Laser Hair Reduction – The GentleMax™ Laser treatment offers a safe and effective way to remove unwanted hair. The system contains two lasers: The Alexandrite or Alex, for lighter skin and The Yag for darker skin. Unlike other laser treatments, the GentleMax™ laser system has been designed to work on any patient with minimal risk (even in darker skin tones) and can remove hundreds of hair follicles at the same time.

How Does it Work? The GentleMax™ Laser treatment uses advanced technology to remove unwanted hair for long period of time. It avoids the limitations of earlier laser hair removal technology by utilizing two lasers in one machine. This allows for our laser expert to use more powerful settings that give longer lasting results in all skin types.

What Can I Expect During Treatment? The GentleMax™ Laser treatment will simultaneously treat hundreds of hairs and then provide a soothing, cool pulse of cryogenic cooling spray to the area treated to reduce discomfort. Here at Liv Aesthetics we also apply a cooling cream post treatment to reduce post treatment inflammation. The treatment can take anywhere from a matter of minutes to an hour, depending on the surface area being treated. The treatment can be used to remove unwanted hair from any area of the body, including the face, underarms, legs, arms, bikini area, and back.

What Can I expect After Treatment? Patients are typically able to resume their normal activities directly after the procedure, although some slight redness may be noticed in the area that was treated. This, or any swelling around the follicles, lasts only a few hours and is an indication that the treatment was successful. The only limitation to providing a safe and affective treatment series is remaining away from the sun. Direct sun exposure and tanning is contraindicated during the treatment series.
